[Trailer] Edge of Tomorrow
The new trailer for Doug Liman’s Tom Cruise led sci-fi epic looks visually impressive with a derivative plot, much like Cruise’s recent Oblivion. The idea doesn’t seem original because it feels like a hodgepodge of the Starship Troopers (book), The Forever War (book) and Groundhog Day. The oddest thing is that I found it all rather intriguing, check out the trailer below…

Even though the movie looks derivative, the fact that it is based on a Japanese light novel and that the movie looks a lot like a cool anime, interests me a lot. Tom Cruise is always reliable at and, at worst, the movie will be a fun (hopefully). But, the trailer looks a little messy in terms of the editing.

Yeah I like Cruise and it doesn't look like it'll reinvent the wheel but could be fun.
DeleteThe older Cruise gets, the more I like him, and he also chooses more and more interesting features to star in ("Oblivion").
ReplyDelete"Edge of Tomorrow" sounds and looks bloody interesting and I'm already hyped for it!
I've never had a problem with Cruise and I've always enjoyed him especially in sci-fi action roles, this movie looks pretty interesting in my opinion.
