This looks like it’s taking the proper approach when dealing with the subject matter. It’s also one of those films I don’t have any issue with the overly stylized visual since it’s perfectly fine with the Gods and mythos.
Trailer shows off a lot more of the Gods in play and overall look of the film.
Although I'm quite excited about "Immortals", there's something about it that really bothers me.. I afraid that it will be like all the other Tarsem films... artsy, yet somewhat hollow and lacking in atmosphere. Plus, visually, it looks ridiculously similar to "300" /which was amazing/
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Tarsem has an excellent grasp of making visually pleasing films but they are kind of like candy, just don't offer much else. Hopefully they'll be a bit more meat here.
