I haven't heard of this fom Malik. I do like his works myself. The Thin Red line was a damn fine film even though it was a complete butchery of the book. The only problem was the sound track which I just couldn't hear. It was if it was too loud and was distorting. I've got bad hearing anyway and I was frustrated because much of the film was more dialogue related to war than visually. He is visually fantastic and his filming is so crystal clear. The New World (??) was fantastic for its colour and clarity. A real joy to watch and just stunning on the big screen.

I've always considered him a visual poet, big fan of his.
