Review:

RENO 911! has been one of my favorite shows on Comedy Central since it first aired. Needless to say I was pretty excited to see my favorite group of goofball cops, this side of Super Troopers crew, on the big screen. The transition is a decent attempt with enough laughs to quell fans. Each character is given a decent amount of screen time and gags. That being said, if you are looking for a big screen plot, you won't find one here. The plot feels like it was thrown together just to give the cast a reason to get out of Reno and put on new uniforms so the entire exercise doesn't feel like an extended episode. It works to varying degrees; some of the situations are excellent set ups while other just kind of fall flat. There in is the main problem with the movie it can be really funny one minute and drag horribly the next. There are some fairly decent cameos thrown in which are fun and unexpected but nothing terribly mind blowing. Overall, if you enjoy the show or just want to give your brain the day off, this is good raunchy fun, just don't expect too much.
